Happy Friday!

The last week has been very busy and hectic so I am feeling a tad disconnected from all my online haunts. I hope to remedy this after our family fun weekend!

It has been too long since my last haircut but that ends today - so excited about this! Why is it so hard for moms to carve out time for self-care? Whenever I need inspiration in this area of my life, I turn to the lovely Hallie Lord who blogs at Betty Beguiles. I feel like I am having a full-on Betty kind of day since I will also be picking up a new outfit for my niece's baptism this weekend. :)

You know how a big cleaning project always makes things look worse before they look better? That's where we are around here right now while in the middle of major pre-spring cleaning.

Are mine the only children who undress on the way home from school? By the time we leave the school parking lot, shoes and socks are off and they start working on whatever else they may be able to peel off without getting noticed.

We had a few cold days early in the week. When this happens, I dress them for bed the night before in the kind of pajamas that one could leave on with clothes over so not to shock their little bodies in our cold house while getting dressed in the morning.

Yesterday was not one of those days but Miles treated it like one anyway. When we stopped at a park on the way home, Miles was overjoyed as he explained to me that he had his pajama shorts on so he could just play in them. He had already stripped his school pants, sweatshirt, and socks. To put a smile on your face, I give you this image from yesterday afternoon:

He's got his eyes on you!

Pearls—When I started this little ministry, I never envisioned pearls being a big part of my offerings. After all, I wanted to focus on modern designs for young Catholics and those new to the faith in hopes that a beautiful, personalized rosary would draw them into this powerful devotion. I had nothing against pearls. Quite the opposite, they are my favorite! I wear them every day.

Over time, I've had many requests for pearl rosaries so I decided I should focus some time on creations using the classic pearl look but with a touch of trendy. My most recent attempt at this concept is my new offering, pearl & birthstone rosaries. This combines two favorites. Many people struggle with whether to get a pearl rosary or a birthstone rosary but now they can have both. The rosary is mostly Swarovski pearls with a sprinkling of birthstone crystals and I am going to feature them as my Pay It Forward special this week. You can select which month you'd like and include the personalization at checkout or send me an email. You can find it here for $21.

Take advantage of this offer by the end of the weekend or until quantities run out, whichever comes first!

  1. 4- Good for you. I got my first hair cut in years in July. It felt so good. :)
5- Prespring cleaning. You guys are so on the ball. We just have a 'hoarder' room that we throw all the mess into and shut the door. :)
    7- Beautiful rosary.

  2. Thanks, Carolina!

Katie - the spring cleaning was short-lived as several things creeped up that were higher on the priority list. Figures. :( Maybe I can get back to it this week!
